In Computer Applications class students are given the opportunity to become Microsoft Office certified in four different applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Students who score 700 or above on the timed Microsoft exam will gain certification in that software. During the first semester Gracie Childs, freshman, was able to gain certification in both Word and Excel as well as about 75% of her classmates. Gracie’s Microsoft Excel certification score was the highest in the State of Kansas, awarding her the opportunity to compete at the National Microsoft Office Specialist Championship in June in Atlanta, GA. Congratulations to Gracie and her classmates who were able to gain Microsoft Office certifications.
